Highly Commended - Harry Bowling Prize 2010
Runner Up - Cally Taylor's short story competition

I knew at the age of 12 I wanted to be a writer.  Then  I thought  I might be a journalist but at some stage took a turn and ended up in PR, which don't get me wrong was 'absolutely fabulous' for a long time.  I wrote the odd chapter of the book I've had in my head for a while but it wasn't until I stumbled on a local evening course... and in the first session I learned the most valuable lesson of all...if you want to write...you write.

And that's what I've been doing ever since.  When I'm working on a novel, I write 1,000 words a day, rain or shine, with or without chocolate.

As a result I've written three light-hearted contemporary romances.

Just Haven't Met You Yet
Katie is trying to get on with her life after the death of her fiance, Jed but unfortunately ... he has other ideas

The  E-Male
Make-up artist, Tilly's been covering up her feelings for far too long.  When an e-mail virus strikes, she acquires her very own agony uncle who can starts reading between the lines.

Stolen Kisses
Olivia's in love but she's not about to break the number one commandment of flat sharing, Thou Shalt Not Steal Your Flatmate's Boyfriend.

If you like fun, contemporary stories then do take a peep at my opening chapters on my books' page.  I'd love to hear what you think.

I'm currently busy writing my fourth book with ideas and characters for  five and six bubbling away in my head.  You can also take a look at my short story page which includes the tale of Ellie and her Flowery Coat which was a winner in the Little Black Dress/Galaxy Short Story Competition and my recent placing in the Berkhamsted Short Story Competition, A Work of Art.

Exciting news, my entry 'Double Trouble', my current work in progress was highly commended in this year's Harry Bowling Prize and this week I found out I was a runner up in author, Cally Taylor's short story competition and I win a free copy of her book Heaven Can Wait which I'm looking forward to reading.
